Saturday morning we grabbed the pups, piled into the truck with Glenn’s parents + stepbrother and took a hike up to Folsom Lake. Although freezing, it was breathtakingly gorgeous out. We had fun exploring the horseback trail, skipping {and climbing} rocks and the dogs jumped in the lake to fetch sticks, despite the frigid water temperature. Poor Walter looked like a river rat, as you can see in the above photo. Please care about my super awesome AT&T beanie, which I found in Glenn’s dad’s truck {he used to work for AT&T}. Hey, I was cold!
This area was really pretty and I definitely want to go back soon. Also, the homes we passed on our way to the trail were absolutely stunning; they were the perfect combination of cozy + practical, tucked away in the woods but still just a stone’s throw from town. I wouldn’t mind living around there, but they probably cost a fortune. Glenn and I are planning to buy a house soon and the hardest part so far is narrowing down WHERE. We shall see.

I’ve always been found of East Sac. The houses have so much charm :)
Gah, I know! Those are pretty pricey too, though. We need to come up with a realistic budget so I don’t get too disappointed haha.
Stunning. Having a home around there would be amazing.

i also have to pin that beanie.
