If you're ever in the area you must visit the Lucky Cafe. Its pretty incredible. 70's style diner with a breakfast/lunch menu only. It's the mister and I's little secret that now we're sharing with you. I srsly dream of those hash browns with their special sauce. Mmm.

The other day I mentioned Glenn & I would be taking on our first collaboration project. Well, I'm finally able to reveal some details about that.

If any of you are American Idol fans, you may recall season 7 contestant Brooke White. Rewind a little bit, and we have my good friend Jack Matranga, also a talented musician. He recently moved to the city of angels and as musical fate would have it, teamed up with miss White and alas, Jack and White was born.

What does any of this have to do with Glenn and I? Well we are building their official website! And we are so, so excited. Hopefully combining my eye for design & Glenn's other-worldly coding skills we can cook up an awesome online presence for our friends. Stay tuned!

Earlier in the month, I was contacted by CBS producers who thought I'd be a good match for contributing to their local Sacramento's "Best of" section online. I've just received the good news today that they've reviewed my pitches and have decided to hire me. You're looking at Sacramento's newest Style & Shopping blogger for CBS Sacramento! Eeep I'm so excited! My first piece is set to be up in July and then again in August, hopefully continuing on a monthly basis. I love writing/blogging & fashion so I'm just really happy to have this opportunity. I'll be sure to share links to my articles here, from time to time.

Hot Italian is SO GOOD, you guys. If you're ever in the area I strongly recommend stopping in for brunch, lunch or dinner. It's a full-scale pizzeria, wine, espresso & gelato bar. They sell scooters & bicycles in the back too--supah cute.

We ordered the most delicious fruit + hazelnut stuffed pizza. Glenn grabbed a cappuccino while I sipped on a yummy Prosecco bellini trio. One word: heavenly.

Afterwards we rode back home with fully bellies & video chatted with my bestie & soon-to-be roommate Kayte & discussed logistics of our plan to move to Seattle this summer{!} More on that next week.

I'm so excited to announce one of many projects I've been working on--Sacramento Stitch Swap! Some of you may remember reading about past swap events & this next one marks the 4th one. So excited!

Please meet my two amazing co-hostesses Ashlee & Shawni. The three of us have been working super hard to plan the best swap yet. If you've attended Stitch Swap before, you know what a great time it is. We've got so many ideas in the works for cute displays, better organization & just an all around super fun time. We've rounded up some delicious sponsors that include an awesome venue, wine, vintage fashion, girly energy drinks, pretty pictures & of course, cupcakes. Are you excited yet?

So how the heck does it work, you ask? Simply put, you bring in previously loved clothing, shoes & accessories to swap amongst the items other women bring in. All the while socializing and enjoying yummy treats. All proceeds and whatever doesn't get swapped we donate to a local charity. See flyer for additional details. I found the perfect spot to hang my little guy--right next to the kitchen windowsill. He seems happy there.

All he needs is a little woodland creature or mushroom friend & he will be complete! The cactus inside is already starting to flower. Of course I picked a plant that thrives on lack of water. This greatly increases my terrarium's chance of survival :)

Be on the lookout for the next Scraps & Sh!t workshop. They're a great way to get crafty & make new friends.

Kara, one of the lovely shop owners from my favorite vintage|handmade boutique Crimson & Clover asked me & some pals to model for their upcoming fashion show which will take place during Sacramento's News & Review's 3rd Saturday event.

Ashlee, Shawni & I went in to the boutique yesterday to get fitted and we are ultra excited to strut our stuff down the runway this coming Saturday & represent one of our favorite local businesses. If you're in the area definitely come hang out with us. We'll be located at the Downtown Plaza right in front of the Forever 21 on the first floor. Best of all, it's free! Rumor has it Ashlee's hubs will be playing photographer so expect photos from the show in a later post. See you there, friends.

I am over the moon about this next one. I missed last years but this time I am finally attending Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco! Me, Ashlee, Shawni & my closest online friend Chelsea are crossing the bridge over to The City and having a magical girls day at the end of the month. Chels is hailing all the way from Oregon, nbd :) There are plans in the works to meet up with sweet friends like Elsie and other blogger pals. Can.not.wait!
