You know that yoga sequence I linked to on Friday? Well, I did it this weekend and it kicked my butt. I didn’t even know rib muscles existed, but based on how sore I am there and other places, now I do.
Yoga is one of those things I feel like I can actually do and unlike cardio I don’t dread doing it. One of my main fitness goals is to gain more strength in both my upper body and core. I don’t want crazy muscles or anything like that, I’d just like to be able to hold a pose without my weak wrists shaking uncontrollably, ha. Ultimately I want to be able to do a headstand pose(!) I’ve tried every yoga studio under the Sacramento sun but what I’ve come to realize is nothing beats practicing from the comfort of your own home. I still love going to classes (I signed up for aerial yoga next month!) but I also like having the option to do a simple routine at my own pace.
If you’re like me and looking for a stretching routine to do at home, definitely check out the sequence I started doing. It takes a minute to get the flow down but once you do, you feel amazing afterward!
