Last weekend we went out with some friends to our local bowling alley. It was packed and sort of expensive {$40 an hour!} but we had a great time nonetheless. The cheesy retro decor & Glo-Bowl segment of the night made me feel like we were straight outta The Big Lebowski.

The best part? I beat Glenn's score! Both rounds actually, but who's counting? ;)

This means I get to cross off another item from my Adventure Guide: "Beat Glenn in a game of anything." Thankfully, he's not a sore loser & was actually a good sport about it. Love you, babe.

Glenn always makes fun of how cold my fingers & toes always are, but those socks, lemme tell ya...SO warm and comfy! I don't own very many cashmere items but now I'm in love and you'll find it very difficult to pry these pretties off my feet this season. No one likes a girl with smelly feet though so I'm forced to add them to the laundry pile a lot. Good thing I have a furry creature aka Walter to snuggle up and get cozy with while my socks are in the wash! Speaking of Walter, we REALLY want another Brussels Griffon but are having no luck finding any. Humph. I want a little sister for him!

Can we talk about that necklace for a second? Lexy was sweet enough to send it to me a few months back. Its so teeny & awesome; I adore it.

Today, Glenn & I are working on PizzaCupcakes stuff & nerding out on things like typekit. I'm excited!

I discovered Hillary through Dribbble and we quickly became Twitter pals soon thereafter. I knew as soon as I read her bio of, "West coast designer & synesthete, who loves fashion and can fire a rifle" we were destined to be friends :)

Hill is a hyper-talented designer and is a huge inspiration for me. All of her work is just gorgeous and her personality is always so shiny & fun. She resides in San Francisco which is close to me, so we're planning to meet up one of these days, really soon! Sometimes I have a love|hate relationship with the Internet, but its times like these when it allows me to form relationships with like-minded people that I am really grateful for it.

I have a confession: I'm not really a fan of Pinterest. Well, let me rephrase, I wasn't a fan for a long, long time. For me, it was decidedly overwhelming and my account laid dormant and neglected. Until today.

I'm in the process of redesigning our bedroom and decided creating a board for collecting all of my inspiration would help me stay more organized. Check it out. I've already got the lovely pillowcase and next on my list is that pintucked duvet from Target. How gorgeous is that? I originally had my eye on this one from West Elm but being able to drive to a Target store and not have to pay shipping equals a win, in my book.

The theme I'm going for is a simple, clean feel with woodsy accents and a muted yellow + gray color palette. I love decorating, and I'm looking forward to creating a fresh, new space for my love & I. Don't forget to add me on Pinterest!

I don't know about you, but I had quite the weekend. Friday night, Shawni & I had a little dinner date at the fancy restaurant where her boyfriend works. I adore dinner dates with my best friend, they're the best. Plus, the food was so delicious, and I definitely ate too much. I think the banana bread pudding dessert is what did me in {I couldn't say no}! Also? I tried a super yummy cocktail--a honey ginger lemon drop. It's my new favorite.

On Saturday I woke up early to run some errands and get ready for my friend Christina's baby shower. She is one cute pregnant lady {pictured above}. It was good to see some familiar faces, sip on strawberry mimosas, play games {I won a prize!} and see my pretty friend open gifts excitedly. I can't wait to meet baby Adelyn, soon. After I came home and had a much needed nap with my mister, we went out to Roseville and had dinner with his parents to celebrate some birthdays. Afterward, we all went out to a Stoney Inn, a local country bar and had a blast. I love that place and I love having an excuse to get dressed up in my cowboy boots! I'm not kidding when I say its a country bar, either. There's line dancing and a mechanical bull. Towards the end of the night Glenn's stepmom and I were wrestling {don't ask} and I ended up spraining my ankle LOL. I'm a total klutz.

Some of our very best friends live across the street and we went over there to watch the Niner game. I've been a 49er fan all my life and its been such an amazing season for the team. The game kept me on the edge of my seat {just ask Lauren} and I was stress-eating throughout, so that afterward when they lost I was left with a sad face and a tummy ache. I hate Tom Brady and obviously the Giants now too, so I am boycotting the Super Bowl. Humph.

Phew! That's the most eventful weekend I've had in quite awhile. It was fun but today I'm pretty exhausted. Tonight I'll be laying low and most likely picking up the house since we sort of neglected it this weekend.
