This month has been nuts. Between traveling, working and focusing on some lifestyle changes, I’ve hardly had time to stop and catch my breath (let alone blog). Speaking of change, Glenn is finally home from his month-long business trip. He moved in with my roommate and I while we figure out what our next step is. There’s a chance we could be moving to San Francisco but it’s all still up in the air. I’ll share more of what our plans are when things are more solidified. That being said, I can’t believe its already summer! Such a fun time of year. I’m looking forward to all the BBQ’s, pool parties, camping trips and kayaking I plan on doing. What kind of fun summer plans do you have?

It’s been awhile since my last style post. In addition to struggling with some self-image issues, the rainy Spring weather had been subpar for outfit photo-taking capabilities. But now with it being consistently sunny these days and reaching some realizations about my body, I decided to snap a few photos to document what I wore out to run errands a few days ago.

Some of you had been asking about my hair as well, and the subtle red-ish ombre is more easier to see in these photos versus instagram. I absolutely love the way its fading; I’m making another appointment soon to lighten it a shade more and add more of the color throughout. If you’re local, go see C-kah at Spanish Fly Hair Garage and tell her I sent you!

I have the most amazing backyard. Right now, the orange tree is in full-bloom and my roommate & I have a delicious free snack at our disposal. With raindrops clinging to everything lately, the outdoors just looks and feels so much fresher to me. More green. More organic.

The weather has also made thick leggings and cozy oversized sweaters a must. The hat I rediscovered when I moved at the end of last year and the boots are well-worn and something I’ve had forever. And how fantastic is that LC sweater?! The bows did me in and I could not pass it up. When I showed it to my sister she said, ‘It looks like a grandma sweater. That being said I can see you wearing it.” …thanks, sis {I think}?

And just like that, 2012 has come to an end. I must say, I am not sad to see it go. We rang in the new year quietly with family, champagne & a few rounds of Apples to Apples–just the way I wanted.

Speaking of quiet, I know its been crickets around these parts lately but I’m looking forward to dusting off the cobwebs and getting back to more consistent posting around here. Between my new job and freelance I am ultra busy but this space is important to me so I am going to make a better effort to be more present.

2012 was a year of learning and 2013 will be a year of applying those lessons. I’ve got some travel plans in the works including a trip to Nashville in June, my niece due to arrive in March, working towards some personal goals Glenn & I set and also some fun bloggy things for around here. I am excited, to say the least. I feel good; I’m ready for the next chapter.

Ps; the title of this post totally took me back circa 2006.
