Last night I got bit by the creative bug and started sketching around in my notebook. The phrase, “Can you not?” kept popping into my head because it’s something Glenn and I have been saying (playfully) to each other a lot lately. I decided to vectorize it in Illustrator and make it into a free downloadable wallpaper for anyone who’s feeling a little sassy and rough around the edges these days, like me ;)
Ps; the pretty floral background image is from a recent discovery–one of my new favorite sites called Unsplash, where you can download high-res, royalty free images. Neat, huh?
Happy Monday, y’all! I came back from the weekend feeling refreshed–getting out of town even for just the day, works wonders for me like that.
Here’s another recent moodboard for a current client of ours. This one is going to be a landing page for a couple of awesome gals in the health industry. The direction is going towards a modern yet playfrul look + feel. We’ve started preliminary design mock up’s and I can’t wait to share the final results soon.
Most of the time there’s an ebb + flow when it comes to my freelance workload; Right now, it’s definitely flowing! I’ve got a few new projects I’ve taken on; here’s a moodboard I recently created for one. This particular one is a fellow blog pal turned design client–I love when that happens! She’s looking for a very minimal black + white direction with a muted purple-gray accent color. I’m really excited to come up with a fresh look for her writing blog. Can’t wait to share more!
I know watercolor is super trendy right now, but I believe it’s for good reason. For some time now, I’ve been wanting to experiment with this method of creativity–to make something with my hands (while they’re not hovering above a keyboard). These are just a few of my doodles from my Saturday morning patio painting session. Yeah, that’s a pizza slice. Who doesn’t love pizza?
