Golden

I realize that just a few short weeks ago I was insistent that the sun come out and play. But this week it has begun to considerably cool down & it’s got me jonesin’ for my favorite of all seasons–Autumn, which is just around the corner. Something tells me September & October this year will be absolutely gorgeous. Some Autumn-inspired things I can’t wait for are…

The satisfying crunch of leaves underfoot.

Slouchy sweaters, leggings & boots!

Comfy socks. {I just bought a pair of oatmeal-coloured thigh highs & I cannot wait to wear them}.

Hot coffee & pleasant conversations. Extra points for cute latte art.

Snuggling up for warmth<3

What’s your favorite season? Are you looking forward to cooler weather too?

Fall. And summer. But mostly fall. For all of the reasons you listed :)

Autumn is my favorite time of year! Especially for all the reasons you mentioned. The fashion is gorgeous {and comfortable}, what a concept! Plus, you can make piles of leaves and then jump in them!

I am an autumn and winter WHORE. If you come and see me you have to come in the autumn. Every london street’s covered in leaves, everybody is bundled up with scarves and mittens and your cheeks get all pink from your hair whipping them in the wind. Windows are all steamy and everybody’s baking. I’m swooning already.

Oh I wish we had “real” seasons in HI… I wanna wear pretty boots and scarves!!

I’ve been thinking about fall lately too and Halloween stuff is appearing in stores already, but I still need a little more summer I think.

I LOVE fall. But, I hate searching for a swimsuit in the middle of July and finding nothing but coats. Macy’s fail.

@naomi rose – UM that sounds SO amazing. I think I need to take a trip across the pond. Did I say that correctly? <3

@Tiera – Yeah, but man, I love how its summer in Hawaii forever lol.

It seriously is, in Wales it’s even more amazing because you know someone on every street so you can nip in, out of the cold, for some stew or something and then carry on your way. Most people wear two layers of tights! I seriously forgot how awesome it is, and now I’M all autumn obsessed too, good work Franco! You know you’re welcome across the pond ANYTIME <3<3

i’m actually really excited for fall/winter this year. i’m dying to finally wear some cute tights i found at anthropologie and mamma wants a black peacoat like nobody’s business!

  • Comment from Layne

Umm, yeah! I’ve been ready! Only, we don’t really have fall in Florida. Booo. We just get some fleeting cooler spells (i.e. in the humid 70s) starting around late Oct. Therefore I’m looking forward to “winter” for some sort of fall-like weather! It’s the best.

And with that, can I also just say how incredibly jealous of the northern Cali climate I am? It seems so utterly perfect.

I LOVE love love love autumn. I mean, first off, my birthday and wedding anniversary are in September. Then the leaves start changing and it turns to sweatshirt weather. Then Halloween and Thanksgiving… oh man. And apple picking and going to the pumpkin patch and hayrides and haunted houses… I just love it!

  • Comment from Ashley

I love autumn too, but spring is my favorite! I love how happy and exciting everything is :)

Although, autumn means Halloween… which means trips to Apple Hill for pumpkins!

  • Favorite season is by far Fall/Autumn. Michael & I got married in November & I really can’t think of a more perfect time of year. Srsly. ;) <3

I love fall. I have said it before and I will say it again, in Michigan fall has a smell. There is a day that I walk out the front door in the morning and it just smells like fall. I am not sure exactly what it is but I love it.

Autumn is my favorite season as well :) The weather, the fashion, and most of all – HALLOWEEN!!!

I usually love summer, but with the consistent heat waves we’ve been having on the east coast, I’m definitely ready for fall.

Oh! And I saw this on Forever21 and thought you’d like them:

holy crap fall can’t come soon enough! as a texan, i absolutely dread summer and it feels like it lasts forever here. the other day i was leaving work w/ a friend and the elevator news said the high was 90 that day. i made a comment that the high was ONLY 90 and my friend looked at me oddly. its amazing what that 10 degree relief will do for a lady’s mood! :]

i feel the same about autumn — it’s my favorite season and wish it were autumn all year around. :D

  • Comment from Janie

My favourite season is definitely winter – but here in Queensland, Australia our winter feels like a hot spring or autumn somewhere else, and I’m hating it!

  • Comment from Jamie

Fall is my favorite for sure!! I LOVE that image of the trees! Oh, crunchy leaves and cuddly moments over tasty warm coffee. I’m gonna miss sitting in Weatherstone watching the leaves fall.

  • Comment from Moorea Seal

aw, this makes me so nostalgic. i love it. i think i am ready for the snuggly cold of autumn. thank god my boyfriend is moving here in a month and a half. i will need a snuggle buddy! nothing is better than the transition back into the cozy seasons after the heat of sunny summer :)

  • Comment from Kelly

I LOVE Fall. This made me yearn for it so so bad! I like all of the above… and I really like to cuddle so when it’s so hot and sticky it sucks. Oh, but when it’s colder… there’s nothing like bundling up under the covers especially with the Boyf. =)

Add to the list – doing the aforementioned while watching a movie. =)
